HELMA Eigenheimbau AG continues its growth path in Q1 2010; further record in the offing

Lehrte, April 9, 2010 - In the first quarter of 2010, HELMA Eigenheimbau AG, specialist for individual solid construction houses and sustainable energy concepts, has followed on seamlessly from the best sales year in the company's history achieved in 2009. This was achieved despite the long winter. The HELMA Group's net order intake amounted to EUR 22.8 million in the first three months of the current financial year, compared with EUR 20.5 million in the same period of the record 2009 sales year. This represents a further increase of 11.2%. A total of 139 houses were sold in the first quarter of 2010 (Q1 2009: 124) at an average net sales price of TEUR 164 (Q1 2009: TEUR 165).

The Management Board of HELMA Eigenheimbau AG is firmly assuming that the expansion that has been successfully completed, as well as the extension of the high-margin property development business, will continue to result in double-digit percentage growth rates in terms of new orders in both the full 2010 year and in subsequent years.

As a consequence, tangible revenue and earnings growth is also anticipated for the years 2011 and after. The guidance for 2010, which the Management Board recently announced as part of the publication of preliminary figures, envisages growth in consolidated revenue of around 28 percent to EUR 80.0 million, and an almost tripling of EBIT to EUR 3.0 million.
NOTE CONCERNING THE PUBLICATION OF SALES FIGURES:

The sales figures for the first three months of the 2010 financial year presented above already include all cancellations received up until the day preceding the publication of this announcement. The previous year's figures are based on the same reporting date to allow optimal comparability.
