HELMA Eigenheimbau AG publishes 2018 annual report and proposed dividend

Lehrte, April 03, 2019 - HELMA Eigenheimbau AG has today published its 2018 annual report in which it confirms the record result that it announced in a corporate news release on March 14, 2019. Along with a detailed presentation of business trends, the annual report also includes an in-depth explanation of the promising project pipeline and the resultant medium-term revenue potential of the individual Group companies.

While a medium-term revenue potential of at least EUR 100 million per year is anticipated in the building services business of HELMA Eigenheimbau AG - which does not require own land plots - the potential of the subsidiaries HELMA Wohnungsbau GmbH and HELMA Ferienimmobilien GmbH active in the property development business is defined by the project-related land already secured. The land purchases realised as of December 31, 2018 will enable the construction of a total of around 3,400 units. This generates potential revenue of around EUR 1.4 billion, most of which can be realised within the next five years. The company also plans to acquire further attractive land plots with the objective of profitable business expansion.

The presentation in further detail of the Group companies' revenue potentials and the EBT forecast for the 2019 financial year, which again envisages double-digit percentage earnings growth, can be found in the annual report, which was published today. Planned EUR 1.30 per share dividend:
The dividend policy of the HELMA Group is oriented to a high degree of continuity and therefore envisages a payout rate from 25 % up to 50 % based on the net profit generated by the parent company. With HELMA Eigenheimbau AG having generated unappropriated retained earnings of EUR 10.7 million, a dividend payment of EUR 1.30 per share is planned for the 2018 financial year. With the distribution of almost 50 % of the net profit of HELMA Eigenheimbau AG as reported on the basis of financial accounting principles according to the German Commercial Code (HGB), the shareholders participate to a significant extent in the company's profitability. Based on yesterday's XETRA closing price, the dividend yield is approximately 3.5 %. At the same time, the company is investing in the further growth for which it is aiming and is thereby strengthening its equity base accordingly.

Successful realisation of the showcase project "Energy self-sufficient multi-family houses - Cottbus":
With the construction of two largely energy self-sufficient multi-family houses in Cottbus, which were completed in 2018, the HELMA Group has created another showcase project in the sustainable energy concepts area. The two four-storey buildings, comprising a total of 14 apartments, each have large collector areas on one half of the roof and can thereby largely supply themselves with solar electricity and heat. The tenants of this project will benefit from a fixed flat-rate rent and an energy flat rate for the next five years due to this high level of energy self-sufficiency. The German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) has also supported this unique building project with subsidies. As a special recognition, the project was awarded the German Solar Prize in the "Solar Architecture and Urban Development" category. HELMA is very proud to once again lead the way as a solar innovator in the building sector with the construction of these modern multi-family houses, and looks forward to further such projects in the future, which signify attractive additional revenue in the building services business.
