HELMA Eigenheimbau AG / Key word(s): Half Year Results HELMA Eigenheimbau AG reports significant revenue and earnings growth in H1 2014 / Positive multi-year outlook confirmed Lehrte, September 11, 2014 - HELMA Eigenheimbau AG, specialist for individual solid construction houses and sustainable energy concepts, published its 2014 half-year report today, presenting significant revenue and earnings growth. In the first half of 2014, the HELMA Group boosted its revenue by around 31 % year-on-year, from EUR 49.6 million to EUR 65.2 million. All Group companies made important contributions to this result, with the property development subsidiary HELMA Ferienimmobilien GmbH generating the highest revenue gains of 161%. Given continued gratifying gross profit margins, half-yearly consolidated earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) moved up by around 64 % to EUR 3.6 million. Due to the considerable increase in plots of land requiring financing, the net financial result fell by around EUR 0.7 million year-on-year and amounted to EUR -1.6 million. Overall, the Group generated earnings after minority interests of EUR 1.4 million (H1 2103: EUR 0.8 million). Earnings per share improved accordingly from EUR 0.28 to EUR 0.42. This represents 50 % growth, reflecting the continued positive profitability trend of the HELMA Group. As in previous years, the HELMA Group in 2014 will also generate most of it full-year earnings during the second half of the year. On the order intake side, too, the HELMA Group continued the past years' positive trend during the first half of 2014. Net new order intake in the first six months of the current financial year amounted to EUR 86.1 million (H1 2013: EUR 71.7 million), representing growth of around 20 %. The HELMA Group's net order book position, which is composed of the net order book total held as of the balance sheet date, and consequently of orders that have not yet been finally settled, amounted to EUR 165.7 million as of June 30, 2014, thereby exceeding the previous year's figure by around EUR 24.6 million, or 17 %. As in previous years, the highest order book position in the company's history as of the mid-year stage comprises an excellent starting position for strong revenue growth in the second half of the year. Positive multi-year outlook: The Management Board of HELMA Eigenheimbau AG is confirming the forecast that it has issued for the 2014 financial year, which envisages consolidated revenue rising to around EUR 170.0 million (FY 2013: EUR 138.0 million), and consolidated EBIT of EUR 12.5 million (FY 2013: EUR 10.3 million). In addition, the medium-term growth strategy that was presented for the first time in August 2013, which comprises growth in consolidated revenue to a level of at least EUR 250.0 million by 2017, continues to be implemented successfully. As a consequence, trends in the business areas of owner-occupier homes and residential properties for investors are running to plan, and continue to generate high growth rates. In the holiday properties area, following an very successful sales start at the Baltic Sea resort of Olpenitz, a higher annual revenue contribution than originally assumed also appears possible in the medium term. If the order book position in the holiday properties area remains positive over the coming months, it is not unlikely that the medium-term revenue guidance for this area will be adjusted upwards when the business results for the full 2014 year are presented in spring 2015.
