HELMA Eigenheimbau AG reports significant new order intake growth in Q1-Q3 2013 /Attractive land purchases secure further growth for the Group / Early repayment of 2010 corporate bond approved

Lehrte, October 14, 2013 - HELMA Eigenheimbau AG, the specialist for individual solid construction houses and sustainable energy concepts, has achieved consolidated net new order intake of EUR 118.1 million during the first nine months of the current financial year (Q1-Q3 2012: EUR 90.0 million) representing 31 percent year-on-year growth. All business areas contributed to this marked new order intake growth. The aforementioned order intake figures also include for the first time an order from the new and additional business area of the HELMA Wohnungsbau GmbH subsidiary, which was presented at the start of the year and which plans and realises residential real estate projects intended for sale to institutional investors. This order for a residential real estate project in Potsdam has a total volume in a low double-digit amount in millions of euros.

Even without this gratifying sales success in its new business area, the HELMA Group, with its established business areas comprising construction services and property development for private customers, as well as holiday property projects, would have reported a significant increase in new order intake during the first nine months of the financial year, reflecting marked double-digit percentage growth.

Attractive land purchases secure continued growth for the Group

Along with the publication of its half-yearly report on August 26, 2013, HELMA Eigenheimbau AG also presented its medium-term Group planning in detail. Based on business growing in all areas, this planning reflects revenue growing from EUR 114.0 million in 2012 to around EUR 250.0 million within a five-year timeframe. The ongoing acquisition of appropriate land represents an absolute precondition to attain the budgeted revenue growth at the two property development subsidiaries HELMA Wohnungsbau GmbH and HELMA Ferienimmobilien GmbH.

In this connection, both subsidiaries have managed to realise various land purchases over the past months that will lead to the realisation of considerable revenue over the planning horizon, thereby significantly underpinning the Group's budgeted growth.

For example, HELMA Wohnungsbau GmbH has acquired plots of land in Berlin-Karlshorst, Hamburg-Hoheluft and central Hanover on which residential space totalling around 20,000 square meters is to be created over the coming years. The construction of multi-family houses is planned at all three projects in this context. In addition, HELMA Wohnungsbau GmbH will construct well over a hundred individually-planned detached houses in Berlin-Pankow over the next few years as a result of the acquisition of a major area of land, thereby again underscoring the company's strong market position in the country's capital.

HELMA Ferienimmobilien GmbH has also successfully prepared itself for further growth with two land purchases in Port Olpenitz near Kappeln and in the village port of Zerpenschleuse. The realisation of several hundred holiday property units is anticipated at both projects within the aforementioned planning horizon.

Confidentiality with the respective selling parties has been agreed concerning the specific purchase prices for the properties bought by HELMA Wohnungsbau GmbH and HELMA Ferienimmobilien GmbH. The total purchase price volume for all of the aforementioned land purchases amounts to more than EUR 30 million, and, along with the in each case partially-employed issue proceeds from the corporate bond that was issued in September 2013, will be financed especially through land purchase financing facilities with favourable interest rates provided by various banking partners.

Early repayment of 2010/2015 HELMA Bond approved:

This bond was issued in 2010, and the early cancellation occurs pursuant to Sections 3.4 and 8.5 of the respective bond terms. The company had reserved this call right.
